1949      

 

   Takis Christodoulou, a pioneering young chemist,  

 establishes KEA for the  production of soft drinks out

 of fresh Cypriot citrus fruits 

 

 

 

 

1951

 

         The company is renamed as KEAN  and

  Bottling licence of Pepsi Cola, until 1971        

 

 

1971    

 

    Bottling licence and distribution  for Cyprus from

    Canada Dry USA, for Canada Dry  soft drinks, until 1998

 

 

 

   

 

 

 

1978 

 

 ΚΕΑΝ is the first local company to install

 technology for the production of soft drinks  in cans.

 

 

 

 

1981

 

 ΚΕΑΝ makes the strategic move to turn into innovative

products and investing heavily in Tetra Pak technology,

becomes the first company in Cyprus to produce juices and

fruit drinks  and one of the few companies in the whole of the Middle East.

 

 

 

1986

 

  

Bottling license and distribution for

Cyprus with J.N. Nichols, UK for VIMTO


 

 

 

1995 

   

 ΚΕΑΝ, using innovative technology, proceeds to the

production of pasteurized soft drinks in cans without

added colours or preservatives

 

 

 

 

2001      

 

 ΚΕΑN is the fourth country in the world

and the first in the broader Middle East

area to invest in the new Tetra Prisma

 packaging technology for 1L juices

 

 

 

 

2002       

 

Strategic partnership with Photos Photiades Ltd for

the distributionof the company’s products in the local market

 

 

 

 

2004

 

 KEAN launches the environmental programme

 for children ‘KEANITA thinks green’ and sets up an eco

village which was visited by 3,000 school children.

 

 

 

2009

 

KEAN celebrates 60 years of successful presence in

Cyprus with the campaign “The ΚΕΑΝ  World of Orange”

 

 

 

 

 

2011 

 

 ΚΕΑΝ wins “Country Nomination for the

European Business Awards”

 

 

 

 

 

2013    

  

KEAN reaches the export sales target to 45

export markets, in the 5 Continents

 

 

 

2014  

        Our company announces the official ditribution agreement

with HEINZ for representantion and distribution of the international

aclaimed HEINZ products.
